Aerial Imagery of the 2013 Flood Event in Calgary. From June 19-22, over 250 mm of rainfall and mountain snowmelt caused river levels to rise quickly, causing widespread flooding in southern Alberta. Peak river flow rates were 8x to 12x normal. This was Calgary’s largest flood since 1897.
The Calgary flood 2013 orthophoto was created from aerial photography flown Saturday June 22, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM MDT.
